How To Verify Skrill Account

A month ago, I have decided to drop my desk job and go freelance-FULL TIME. I was a bit blessed to get a permanent job that instant. However, as soon as I got my first pay, I also then realized how exchange rates and money turn overs can hit freelancers like me. So I decided to find new money transfer methods, other than Paypal.

My search then lead me to Skrill. Previously known as Moneybookers, Skrill is a UK based payment processor that offers faster and cheaper means of sending and receiving money. It is now the leading ewallet and payment processor with over 25 million account holders world wide. They also have a more sophisticated fraud and risk management.

If you're wondering how to verify your Skrill account, here are your options.

1. Verify Your Address.

To do so, click "My account" > "Account Status" > "Address", then hit "Verify".

Unfortunately, there is no other means to verify your address but through a code sent via snail mail. Yes. You read it right. It is via snail mail. Please see below for the verification letter I have received from Skrill. I waited for almost a week for the mail to arrive.

2. Verify Your Bank Account, or Your Credit Card

I tried to do so, and it did not work. After trying to verify my bank account, I got this message.

Don't try to verify your  bank account/card if you're a non-dollar account holder
The process here is that Skrill will take $1.01 to $2.99 from your account. You would then have to check your account for exactly how much they took out from your account (In Dollars). In other words, if your account won't let you see your transaction in dollars, this verification process does not apply to you. Lucky for me, I was able to get a refund for the 90 pesos they took from my account (I asked for a refund, LOL).

    1. @dave Ginos,

Are you sure your skrill account and the bank information you entered has the same information? They should match (Address, name , etc).

      Hope this helps.

  4. The truth is Skrill intentionally made the crape system so that they get more time to roll the money in investment. More lucky when people with little money in skrill account simply gives up trying to verify. 5-10 USD from thousands of such people makes millions for skrill.
Wish there was a way to make a complain against these frauds and shut the skrill frauds down
